Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Tuesday echoed her support for media commentator Tucker Carlson's decision to stop supporting the Republican Party, saying she also would no longer support the institution.
Carlson broke with the Trump administration over the war in Iran. He went viral on Monday over comments saying he would no longer support the party. The commentator has long been an opponent of foreign interventions and American adventurism. Greene, for her part, left Congress after a series of policy disputes with Republican leadership, including with the president himself.
"Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party," Greene posted on X.
"There is A LOT of us that are absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country.
That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either.
But we are DONE with the America LAST Republican Party."
