First openly gay Israeli parliament speaker voted in by Knesset led by PM Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel’s new Knesset speaker, Amir Ohana, is the first openly gay person to hold that position. Ohana, who is a former Minister of Justice and Public Security, is currently a member of the Knesset representing the Likud party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
