Pope Francis to undergo hernia surgery, will be hospitalized for several days in Rome
Pope Francis was admitted to a hospital in Rome Wednesday for abdominal surgery related to his hernia. The Vatican said Pope Francis has been experiencing “recurrent, painful, and worsening” symptoms and will be hospitalized for several days.
