Hundreds of Russian drones and dozens of missiles fell on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities on Sunday night.

At least 18 civilians were killed in the attacks and more than 100 were wounded, according to Ukrainian authorities.

Emergency crews were digging through wreckage as they tried to reach people buried under the rubble of apartment buildings, the Associated Press reported. Officials said crews in Dnipro, located in central Ukraine, found the body of a 3-year-old child and a mother with her 8-year-old son.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked for more U.S. and European support following the attacks.
