Amazon driver reportedly killed by two dogs in Missouri
Deputies reportedly kill two dogs in response.
An Amazon driver in Missouri this week was reportedly killed by two dogs who were then subsequently killed by sheriff's deputies who responded to the scene.
The Ray County Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to a report of an idling Amazon truck in Excelsior Springs, Mo., to find an Amazon delivery driver death from apparent dog wounds.
The coroner's office has not yet released its findings into the man's death. Ray County deputies, meanwhile, allegedly killed two dogs—a mastiff and a German shepherd—who were nearby and acting aggressively, authorities said.
Amazon, meanwhile, released a statement expressing condolences for the man's death.
“We’re deeply saddened by [the] tragic incident involving a member of our Amazon family and will be providing support to the team and the driver’s loved ones," the company told media. "We are assisting law enforcement in their investigation.”
