Arkansas police rule death of Epstein-linked Clinton aide a suicide
Authorities never recovered a weapon.
Arkansas authorities have ruled the death of former Bill Clinton adviser Mark Middleton a suicide, according to a report released nine months after his death.
A ranch worker found Middleton dead in May 2022 in Perryville, Ark., the Daily Mail reported. Authorities discovered a gruesome scene at the site of his death at the Heifer Ranch.
A report from Perry County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Lawson was released without photos but described his arrival on the scene.
"Upon reaching the back of the cottage she pointed towards the rear of the property and asked if that was a person," the report read, per the Mail. "I could see what at first appeared to be a man sitting near a tree, as my eyes focused better, I could see a rope of some type going from the tree limb to the male."
"I could see that he had a gunshot wound to the chest and that he had a knot tied in an extension cord that was around his neck and it was attached to the limb directly above him," he continued. Authorities never recovered a weapon though the report rules the death a suicide, nonetheless.
A special adviser to former President Clinton, Middleton was known to have signed late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein into the White House during seven of his visits to the premises. He further flew on Epstein's notorious "Lolita Express," the Mail reported.
