The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives confirmed to CNN Monday that the agency had been called to assist in an active shooter situation in Richland, Washington.

One person has died, Benton County Chief Coroner Dennis Morris said. Another person is reportedly injured.

ATF Seattle field office spokesperson Jason Chudy told the agency that special agents from the field office in Yakima, Washington, were on the way to assist the Richland Police Department at a Fred Meyer grocery store.

Authorities tweeted a photo of the shooting suspect and urged the public to call police if they have any information.

Richland School District announced that all schools were placed on non-critical lockdown. The district provided two school busses to assist police and fire with reunifying those affected.

This is a developing story.
