Authorities identify the four students killed in Michigan school shooting
Police have identified shooter as 15-year-old classmate but have not released a name
Authorities have released the names of the now four students fatally shot Tuesday afternoon at Michigan high school.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard identified the students as 16-year-old Tate Myre, 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana, Justin Shilling, 17, and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin.
Shilling died in the hospital on Wednesday at about 10 a.m.
Police have also identified the shooter as 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley. He will be charged as an adult with one count of terrorism, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Bouchard said Myre died inside a patrol car as deputies rushed him to a hospital, according to Fox News. He was a junior and a running back on the Oxford High School football team. Myre reportedly tried to disarm the shooter and is being described as a hero.
Eight others were injured in the shooting including students and a teacher.
A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, and a 17-year-old girl is also in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
A 14-year-old boy is in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the head and jaw. Another 14-year-old boy is on a ventilator after suffering chest and neck wounds.
A 17-year-old girl is in stable condition after being shot in the neck, and a 15-year-old boy is also stable after being shot in the leg. And a 47-year-old teacher was grazed by a bullet, Fox News also reports.
The alleged shooter reportedly used his father's 9mm Sig Sauer in the attack. Police said the father had bought the handgun four days before the shooting.
There were reportedly over 100 emergency 911 calls about the attack and rumors days before the shooting about such an attack.
