Bridgewater College shooting suspect in custody
The suspect is in custody according to authorities, and a source told ABC that at least one officer was shot.
A suspect in the Bridgewater College shooting is in custody following reports of an active shooter on the Virginia campus Tuesday afternoon.
"The shooter is in custody and state and local police are on the scene," Gov. Glen Youngkin (R-Va.) tweeted. He has been briefed on the situation and said he is continuing to monitor it.
The college told those on campus to still remain in place patiently because law enforcement is still searching buildings to secure the scene.
Authorities announce that the shelter in place order has been lifted for the town of Bridgewater, but it is still in place for the college.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News that at least one officer was shot in a related incident on campus.
