Christmas Eve shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 wounded at Colorado Springs mall

A shooting at a Colorado Springs mall on Christmas Eve left one person dead and three others injured after a squabble between two groups of people, officials said. 

The two groups got into a fight Sunday afternoon at the Citadel Mall and police responded to a call for shots fired, the Colorado Springs Police Department said on X, formerly Twitter. 

One adult man was discovered deceased on the scene as a result of a gunshot wound while two other adult men were taken to local hospitals in serious conditions after being shot, officials said. A woman was brought to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 

Multiple people are detained in connection to the incident as police are working to determine their involvement, officials said.
