According to a press release by the FBI, the man was seen in a video with a child sometime between January to April 2019. His appearance may have changed since the images were taken.
The FBI believes he could help provide them with the child's identity.
The man is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, which are partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Operation Rescue Me focuses on clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, the FBI said in a press statement, adding that "ECAP seeks national and international media exposure of unknown adults (referred to as John/Jane Does) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child pornography images."
Photos of the person of interest can be viewed here, on the FBI website.
