The FBI seized the phone of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan, waking him in his home on Wednesday morning to take his devices, the New York Post reported, citing a source.

Coplan seemed to confirm the reporting with an X post, stating "new phone, who dis?"

Polymarket is on online betting website that attracted attention during the election for offering betting odds on the presidential contest. Betting odds have gained traction as an alternate metric to polling data as an indicator of the state of elections.

“They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons," the source told The Post. The website predicted a Trump win in the leadup to the election.

Coplan reportedly was not told the reason for the seizure of the devices.
