Four people shot at downtown Atlanta food court

Four people were shot on Tuesday, including a possible suspect, at a food court in downtown Atlanta, according to the city's mayor and police officials.

All four people are still alive, according to social media posts from the Atlanta Police Department, but an investigation into the shooting is still being conducted. The shooting occurred at an indoor food court in a downtown office complex, according to CNN, and the building is in lockdown.

"At this time, we can confirm four (4) people were shot. All are alert, conscious, and breathing. One of the four people shot is believed to be the suspect," the police department posted to X. "The scene is still open and active as officers are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident."

The conditions and severity of those injured has not been disclosed so far. But Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens warned people to stay clear of the area.
