Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann charged in 4th murder
Heuermann already faces six charges in connection to the murders of Megan Waterman, 22; Melissa Barthelemy, 24; and Amber Lynn Costello, 27.
Prosecutors on Tuesday charged Rex Heuermann, the suspected serial killer behind the slayings of three sex workers on Gilgo Beach east of New York City, with a fourth murder, court documents show.
The new charge was unsealed in Suffolk County Court in connection to the death of 25-year-old Maureen Brainard-Barnes, per multiple media reports. She became known as a member of the "Gilgo Beach Four" after her body, as well as those of three other former escorts, was found in 2010 in Long Island.
Heuermann, 60, already faces six charges in connection to the murders of Megan Waterman, 22; Melissa Barthelemy, 24; and Amber Lynn Costello, 27.
