Illegal immigrant charged in double stabbing in Missouri

Homeland Security issued a detainer on Barrera, recognizing him as undocumented, and having entered through Eagle Pass, Texas.

An illegal immigrant has been charged in a double stabbing incident in O’Fallon, Missouri, that occurred on Sunday.

Police say Jose Barrera assaulted two victims inside Highlander Laundry after allegedly engaging in a brief exchange with one of the victims. Barrera is charged with Assault and Armed Criminal Action, according to KMOX in St. Louis.  

After the initial exchange, that person ran outside, followed by Barrera, who allegedly stabbed the victim in the back. A second person intervened and was also stabbed in the back. The injuries are considered non life threatening.
