Jan. 6 rioter stormed Capitol with sword, steel whip, pepper spray: FBI
The woman joins more than 1,400 others charged in relation to the Jan. 6 riot
An FBI affidavit accuses a woman of taking a cache of weapons to the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
"Kennedy Lindsey had a short sword, a steel tactical whip, a collapsible baton, pepper spray, a butterfly knife and a flashlight taser in her possession when a U.S. Secret Service officer searched her backpack," CBS News reported.
Authorities apprehended Lindsey in Los Angeles last month. She is charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Lindsey joins more than 1,400 others charged in the Capitol riot, some of whom also face weapons charges for carrying firearms, knives, or stun guns.
Lindsey and another woman flew from California to Washington, D.C., because the "boss man called for us to be there," according to a social media post referring to "boss man" former President Donald Trump.
Lindsey and her companion, who was also charged, attended Trump's "Stop the Steal" rally near the White House before riding on the back of a golf cart to the Capitol.
The FBI alleges Lindsey "entered the Capitol through a broken window."
Lindsey did not reply to CBS News' request for comment.
