The shooting that occurred during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Celebration Parade came as the result of what "appeared to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire," Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said Thursday.

The shooting killed one person, Elizabeth Galvin, 43, and left 22 other people injured.

The victims range from 8 years old to 47 years old, and at least half of the victims are under the age of 16, Graves also said.

Three people are in custody, including two juveniles, in connection to the shooting.

A reporter asked Galvin at a press conference Thursday whether the incident was connected to a gang.

"The relationship between the subjects involved, that's still under investigation," she said.
