At least nine people are injured after a shooting broke out at a post-prom party in Texas, officials said Sunday.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded early Sunday morning to a shooting in Jasper and found nine victims with "non-life-threatening gunshot wounds" at an after-prom party. The victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Officials said the "investigation is ongoing and people of interest are being questioned" about the incident.
Jasper has a population of more than 7,200, according to Census data.
The shooting occurred after another major mass shooting last weekend at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama, left four people dead and dozens injured.
