A shooting on a trail in Holmes County, Mississippi, has left three dead and eight injured, according to Saturday reports.

CBS News reports that the shooting happened on a trail after homecoming for students in Holmes County Consolidated Schools where 200 to 300 people were gathered.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation told the outlet that it is working with local law enforcement to investigate what happened.
Sheriff Willie March told The Associated Press that the gunfire was the result of a fight that broke out among some of the men at the celebration.
As of now it is not known what caused the fight or even how many people fired shots.
The three victims who died are Shundra Chestnut, 19, of Kosciusko; Martel Gibson, 25, of Durant; and John Jenkins, 19, of Durant.
