Suspect in the alleged murders of 3 homeless men in Los Angeles in custody
As of now, it is not clear if Powell is the same person who killed a homeless man in Las Vegas and injured three others.
The Los Angeles police department announced Saturday that the suspect allegedly involved in killing three homeless men this week has been arrested.
The suspect is 33-year-old Jerrid Joseph Powell, according to NBC News.
According to the outlet, police said that the gun found in Powell's vehicle matched the gun used to kill the three homeless people.
It is not clear if Powell might be the same person who killed a homeless man in Las Vegas and injured four others.
The shooting in Vegas occurred at around 5:35 p.m. on Friday and the man who died was in his fifties, authorities say.
Three of the victims injured are in their thirties and one is a male teenager.
The motive of the shooter is unknown, and police are investigating whether or not this is an isolated incident.
