Colorado police have announced the arrest of suspected illegal immigrant in connection with the hit-and-run death of sheriff's deputy Sunday.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect as Octavio Gonzalez-Garcia, according to news reports.

The officer killed in the incident has been identified as county sheriff''s office Deputy Alexis Hein-Nutz.
The 23-year-old officer was riding her motorcycle to work when she was struck and killed.
Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams said officials at the crime scene recovered a falsified Green Card and a fake Social Security Card from Gonzalez-Garcia's vehicle, as well as evidence suggesting he was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Gonzalez-Garcia has been identified as the driver in the incident, according to Fox News. Investigators say he made no attempt to help the badly injured officer and instead hid in a nearby cornfield.
