The FBI and Massachusetts State Police (MSP) responded on Saturday to a “potential criminal act” that took place on an American Airlines flight en route from Charlotte, North Carolina to Boston, Massachusetts where it safely landed Saturday morning.
MSP said in a press release that they were notified by the airline of the potential criminal act and met the plane with officers and detectives who immediately began an investigation when it arrived in Boston, according to Fox News.

“We take this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, as safety and security are our highest priorities,” an American Airlines spokesperson told Boston 25.
