Grammy-award winning singer Taylor Swift on Tuesday said she was "completely in shock" over a stabbing at a dance studio in England on Monday, after a third child died from her wounds.

Three children have now died in the stabbing incident, and six other girls remain hospitalized, with two in critical condition as of Tuesday, according to Sky News. Two adults are also in critical condition after protecting some of the children.

The singer claimed that she was at a "complete loss" on how to appropriately convey her sympathies to the families of people who were allegedly wounded or killed by the 17-year-old suspect.

"The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I'm just completely in shock," Swift wrote on social media. "The loss of life and the innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families."

The children who were killed are aged six, seven, and nine, according to CBS News. It is not clear how old the remaining children who were injured are.

Merseyside Police officials said the motive for the attack, which occurred during a Swift themed event, is currently "unclear," but the incident is not being investigated as terror related.

A group of Swift's fans are raising money for the families of the victims, and have raised tens of thousands of dollars so far. The group is also working to raise funeral funds for the children who were killed.

"The idea that those parents are going through hell right now, and the idea they had any financial stress over this breaks our hearts," Cristina Jones, from the U.K. and EU Taylor Swift Facebook group, told the BBC. "We can't make it better in any way, but taking away some stress was definitely a priority for us."

A vigil has also been set up to honor the victims, and Swift-themed friendship bracelets have been left at the scene. Swift fans often trade handmade friendship bracelets at her concerts.
