Ten wounded, 2 others injured in South Carolina mall shooting
Authorities do not believe attack was random
Ten people were shot and two others injured in a shooting Saturday in a shopping mall in Columbia, South Carolina, according to news reports.
Police say three people who had firearms have been detained in connection with the incident, which authorities do not believe was random, according to the Associated Press.
Columbia Police Chief W.H. "Skip" Holbrook said at least one of those three people fired a weapon, the wire service also reports.
"We believe they knew each other and something led to the gunfire," he said.
Eight of the victims were taken to the hospital. No deaths have so far been reported, but two of the victims are in critical condition.
