Texas law enforcement identify Allen mall shooter: reports
The suspect was killed by an Allen Police Department officer who was at the shopping center, officials said.
The man suspected of opening fire in a crowded Dallas-area mall killing eight people and wounding at least seven others has been identified as 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia, according to multiple media reports.
Police and FBI searched Garcia's parents house Saturday night after the shooting in the Dallas suburb of Allen, witnesses said.

The ages of the victims are unclear, but witnesses said they saw children among them.
Six of the victims are still hospitalized, three of whom are in critical condition, according to NBC News. One of the patients is in fair condition at Medical City Children’s Hospital.
