Three adults, 5 children found shot to death in rural Utah home
Officials say no threat to public at this time.
A family of eight, including five children, were found shot to death in a home in rural Utah, police said on Wednesday.
Enoch City officials said in a statement that police made the gruesome discovery while responding to a "welfare check"
“Officers checked the residence and found three adults and five minors deceased inside the home,” the statement said, adding: “Each appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds.”
“At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any suspects at large,” the statement said.
Enoch City is located roughly 250 miles south of Salt Lake City, around 50 miles from the Arizona border.
