U.S. border patrol seized 266 lbs. of Canada-bound cocaine
The Canadian transporting the cocaine 'will face local prosecution'
U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently seized 266 pounds of cocaine bound for Canada.
CBP seized the cocaine Thursday at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry in Port Huron, Michigan, according to a CBP press release Tuesday.
The agency reported seizing "100 bricks of suspected narcotics concealed behind a false wall" in a tractor trailer headed for Canada.
"The illicit cargo was confirmed to be cocaine through subsequent testing," CBP reported.
CBP also seized the truck and trailer operated by a Canadian citizen.
The driver faces "local prosecution in St. Clair County," Michigan.
