ABC has canceled "Match Game," hosted by Alec Baldwin, but the network denies the show's cancellation was related to the actor's fatal shooting last year.

Baldwin has been embroiled in controversy, including a wrongful death lawsuit, since he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust."

Variety reported that "ABC's decision to cancel 'Match Game' is not related to that incident."

The show has not produced episodes since 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Only two episodes of the program aired during 2021. Both were filmed the previous year.
