Astros pitchers combine for historic no-hitter in World Series
The only other World Series no-hitter occurred in 1956 by the New York Yankees' Don Larsen.
Houston Astro starter Cristian Javier and three relief pitchers threw a combined no-hitter Wednesday night in Game 4 of baseball's 2022 World Series – marking only second one is series history.
The Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 5-0 to even the series at 2-2.
The 25-year-old Javier began the game by throwing six no-hit innings.
"I just came out holding onto God, trying to be positive, trying to attack the strike zone," Javier said, as translated. "Thanks to God I was able to accomplish that."
