Bruce Springsteen postpones 2023 tour to treat peptic ulcer disease

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are postponing the remainder of their 2023 tour out of what they say is an "abundance of caution" as the frontman recovers from peptic ulcer disease.
"I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year," Springsteen, 74, said Wednesday when he announced that his remaining 2023 tour dates would be postponed until 2024.
Springsteen plans on continuing treatment through the rest of the year, according to a statement on his website.
He had canceled shows earlier this month due to his symptoms, and those shows will also be scheduled for 2024.
Peptic ulcers are open sores located in the stomach and upper small intestine. Symptoms include stomach pain, nausea and heartburn, according to Mayo Clinic. It is unclear what symptoms Springsteen may be experiencing.
