Comedian and actor Michael Rapaport says that antisemitism in the U.S. is largely rooted in ignorance.
"It's ignorance," Rapaport said on the Thursday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show when asked about pro-Palestinian protestors .
"LGBTQ for Palestine is a ... ridiculous idea," he added. "It's ridiculous to equate one with the other. It's just off the wall. And that has to be just being uneducated. You can't love on terrorists and you know, listen to their thoughts and their feelings to make their violent ways go in the past."
Many LGBTQ groups have spoken out in solidarity for Palestinians amid the Israel-Hamas war.
Rapaport recently went to Israel to use social media to highlight the aftermath of the Oct. 7 attacks on the country by Hamas.
"I had to go. I was so upset and so frustrated and just heartbroken and continue to be heartbroken by what happened," he said. "We decided to go in. I'm very glad that we went. The trip was very emotional."
