Marvel cuts ties with actor Jonathan Majors following assault verdict
Majors will be sentenced on Feb. 6
Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney Co. have cut ties with actor Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty Monday of harassment and assault.
A Marvel studio representative confirmed that they would not be doing any future projects with Majors, the entertainment news website Deadline reports.
The New York City jury found Majors guilty of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation for an altercation in March with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Majors will be sentenced on Feb. 6, and his attorney said his client " looks forward to fully clearing his name," according to The Associated Press.
Majors had roles in many Marvel productions, including "Ant-Man," season one of "Loki and He Who Remains aka Kang the Conqueror" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phases 4 through 6.
Marvel was set to recast Majors in Kang the Conqueror.
