NCAA unveils March Madness bracket with Gonzaga, Arizona, Baylor, and Kansas on top
The No. 1 ranked Gonzaga will face off against the No. 16 ranked Georgia State in the opening game later this week.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Sunday unveiled its 68-team March Madness bracket with the Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas, and Baylor basketball teams coming in as the No. 1 seeds for their regions.
The Gonzaga University Bulldogs, based in Spokane, Washington, are the NCAA bracket's No. 1 overall seed out of the West Region, CBS Sports reports. The Bulldogs have earned a No. 1 seed five times under coach Mark Few. This is also the second time in five years the team has earned the top spot overall.
Other No. 1 seeds joining Gonzaga are the University of Arizona in the Southern Region, the University of Kansas in the Midwest Region, and Baylor University in the East Region.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs will face off against the Georgia State Panthers, ranked No. 16, in the opening game on Thursday.
