The Television Academy announced that former President Barack Obama won an Emmy award for his work narrating an episode of Netflix's "Our Great National Parks."

The academy on Saturday said Obama won "Outstanding Narrator" at the Creative Arts Emmys after he was nominated in July for his narration of the episode titled "A World of Wonder."

The five-part series was produced by the production company "Higher Ground," which the former president founded with his wife, Michelle Obama, in 2018.

He is now one of two presidents to have won an Emmy. The late President Dwight D. Eisenhower received a special award from the television academy in 1956, Fox News reported.
