Original 'Power Rangers' star Jason David Frank dead at 49
He is survived by his four children.
Actor Jason David Frank, best known for starring in the original 1990s "Power Rangers" franchise, died at the age of 49, a representative said.
"Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being," a representative for Frank told PEOPLE magazine on Sunday.
A cause of death was not immediately released. He is survived by his four children.
Frank is known for his role as Tommy Oliver, the Green Power Ranger who becomes a White Ranger, in the original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" television series from 1993 to 1996.
The mixed martial artist actor also starred in other Power Rangers projects and an episode of "Family Matters," among other shows.
