Trump to talk about economy in Asheville, North Carolina
Trump will focus on the increased cost of living under the Biden/Harris administration.
Former President Donald Trump "will deliver remarks on the economic hardships created by the Harris-Biden Administration in Asheville, North Carolina."
The remarks, to be delivered on August 14 at 4 p.m. EDT, will focus on how "hard-working Americans are suffering because of the Harris-Biden Administration’s dangerously liberal policies," according to a Trump campaign press release
"Prices are excruciatingly high, and the cost of living has soared — leaving those on a fixed-income, unsure of how they are going to afford a basic standard of living in the future," reads the release.
The release blames "failed policies" and says "President Trump is devastated to see North Carolinians struggle."
To help individuals on a fixed income, the release promises Trump will "not cut a single penny from Social Security or Medicare."
The release also touts Trump's proposal to end Social Security taxation and "Make America Great Again by reintroducing common-sense economic policies, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and reversing the effects of failed Democrat induced inflation — putting money back in the pockets of hard-working Americans across the country!"
