UPS and Teamsters union reach tentative contract, avoiding strike

The Teamsters union and UPS reached a tentative contract agreement on Tuesday in a move that avoids a potentially disastrous nationwide strike. 

Teamsters, which represents more than 340,000 UPS union workers, said the "historic" agreement involved an "overwhelmingly lucrative contract" that raises wages for all employees and creates more workplace protections.
