DOJ alleges foreign neo-Nazi terrorist plot against Jewish, minority children
The plot allegedly involved 'dressing up as Santa Claus and handing out candy laced with poison'
A district Court in New York on Monday unsealed a criminal complaint alleging a neo-Nazi terrorist plot in New York City. An indictment immediately followed the unsealing of the complaint.
The complaint, filed under seal on April 22, accuses a Georgian national of soliciting an undercover FBI agent "to commit violent crimes for the purpose of harming racial minorities, Jews and homeless individuals."
Michail Chkhikvishvili allegedly lead a group called the Maniacs Murder Cult (MMC). The criminal complaint alleges MCC "adheres to a Neo-Nazi accelerationist ideology and promotes violence and violent acts against racial minorities, the Jewish community and other groups it deems 'undesirables.'"
MCC members allegedly "share a common goal of challenging social order and governments via terrorism and violent acts that promote fear and chaos."
Chkhikvishvili allegedly solicited the undercover agent to engage in "bombings, arson, and even poisoning children, for the purpose of harming racial minorities, Jews and homeless individuals."
The indictment charges Chkhikvishvili with violating four federal laws, including distributing information on how to make and use an explosive device while either knowing or intending that the device be used to commit a crime of violence.
Interpol apprehended Chkhikvishvili in Moldova on July 6, according to a DOJ press release. He has yet to be extradited.
