Former NFL back Walker offers to send 'people who don't want' police to countries without them
Herschel Walker is offering to work with major airlines to allow people who say they want to abolish the police to go see what it's like in places without them
Herschel Walker, the former NFL running back who played for teams including the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, is offering to work with major airlines companies to send Americans advocating for defunding and abolishing police departments to countries without police presences.
"I want them to be happy!" tweeted Walker, also a 1982 Heisman Trophy winner for the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Walker, who played for the New Jersey Generals while President Trump served as team owner, has offered to meet with lawmaker in Washington as they develop legislation in the wake of the May 25 death of George Floyd. Floyd's death while in police custody spurred weeks of nationwide protests on the subjects of racial inequality and police brutality.
Walker also recently condemned the legislative record of Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden after he compared the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to the death of George Floyd.
"He (Joe Biden) has been in office a very long time, and not once has be tried to change anything for black lives," wrote the athlete.
