Meal kit provider Daily Harvest is facing multiple lawsuits after customers said they were severely sickened from eating one of the company’s distributed snack foods.

The company, based out of Manhattan, is facing suits from at least two customers who were allegedly sickened by the company’s product, both of whom claim to have had their gallbladders removed after consuming the snack.

At issue is allegedly a “crumble” made from leeks and lentils. Hundreds of consumers reported being sickened after eating the product.

On its website, the company said it “still [had] not identified a possible cause” of the outbreak.

“We are deeply committed to finding answers for those impacted,” the company said. “We’re working with top doctors, microbiologists, toxicologists as well as 3 independent labs.”
