The footage comes on the same day that the Wall Street Journal released additional video of the shooting, where officers were frustrated with the lack of Secret Service agents stationed around the outdoor venue.

New bodycam footage from Butler police in Pennsylvania, which was released on Thursday, revealed the moment that a Butler police officer was hoisted onto the roof with former President Donald Trump's shooter.

Trump was injured in an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month, which resulted in the deaths of two people including the shooter, and injured a total of three people including the former president.

The footage comes amid increased tension with the Secret Service for allowing an assassination attempt to take place.

The video and audio showed how the officer was hoisted onto the roof and then dropped down upon spotting the shooter, according to CNN. Approximately 40 seconds later the shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired shots at the former president and Republican presidential nominee.

“F—ing this close bro,” the officer who saw Crooks told another officer. “Dude, he turned around on me.”

When asked where the shooter was, the officer responded that he was straight up from where the officers lifted him.

“He’s got glasses, long hair,” the officer told other law enforcement officials. “Yo, Mike, I climbed the wall and I popped my head right in front of him bro, he’s got a book bag, he’s got mad sh-t, AR laying down.”

The footage comes on the same day that the Wall Street Journal released additional video of the shooting, where officers were frustrated with the lack of Secret Service agents stationed around the outdoor venue.

“I f—ing told them that they needed to post guys f—ing over here," one officer said. "I told them that f—ing Tuesday. I talked to the Secret Service guys. They’re like, ‘Yeah, no problem. We’re going to post guys over here.’”

The backlash over the lack of protection for a former president and presidential nominee sparked investigations from the House of Representatives, and ultimately pressured former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign from her post.
