The state of Florida reportedly has one million more registered Republican voters than Democratic voters.

There are 5.3 million active GOP voters and 4.3 million active Democratic voters, according to The Associated Press. Roughly 3.9 million voters in the Sunshine state don't associate with either party.

The state has generally trended toward the Republicans in recent years. Florida broke for President George W. Bush, before baking President Barack Obama, and subsequently backing President Donald Trump in their respective elections.

Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power said that the state's GOP is "the most successful party in the nation,” the AP reports.

Gov. Ron DeSantis, R, won re-election in Florida by 19.4%.
