McDonald’s drive-thru only spinoff concept has reportedly drawn huge crowds to its initial location in a Chicago suburb.
According to business insights website Placer.ai, traffic at the CosMc’s Bolingbrook, Ill., location was double that of a typical McDonald’s restaurant, with as many as 80 vehicles lined up at once in its drive-thru.
The new restaurant’s drive-thru has four lanes, no walk-up windows, and no indoor or outdoor seating area, according to the New York Post.
Placer.ai reports that McDonald’s plans to open 10 more test units by the end of 2024. Its menu focuses on beverages, including sugary drinks, teas, and coffee-based products. It also offers breakfast and snack food options.
