There have been over two dozen reported tornadoes in several states amid an outbreak in the Plains — the vast expanse of flatlands across the central United States — with another twister outbreak expected Saturday.

According to ABC News, Texas and Iowa have been on alert for tornadoes since Friday and the severe weather is expected to continue into the weekend.

Roughly 25 tornadoes were reported in Nebraska, Texas and Kansas on Friday.

For Saturday, tornadoes are expected to hit parts of Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois with expected hail and damaging winds.

The biggest threats for a tornado on Saturday are in Oklahoma, Texas and southeastern Kansas.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center predicted a Level 4 out of 5 severe weather risk, according to Fox Weather

"This is going to be a very dangerous day for so many people, especially if you live in southeastern Kansas, eastern and central Oklahoma, and right into north Texas just across the Red River," FOX Weather meteorologist Kendall Smith said.
