Many internet services were disrupted Tuesday as a result of major web infrastructure company Cloudflare having an internal outage.

Just before 7 a.m. ET, when online users could not get to websites, Cloudflare, one of the largest providers of internet services for websites, said that it had begun investigating the internal service issue, according to NBC News.

Amazon Web Services and X, along with several other major internet services, appeared to have been affected by the issue, according to DownDetector.com

Cloudflare said that it is focused on restoring service and would provide updates throughout the process.

The company said just after 8 a.m. that the issue had been identified and was in the process of being fixed.
