Peloton on Thursday said it is recalling over 2 million of its original exercise bike models after the company identified 35 reports of seat posts unexpectedly breaking during use.

"There have been 13 reports of injuries, including a wrist fracture, lacerations and bruises," the company said.

A total of 2.16 million bikes are affected by the recall, which Peloton issued in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

U.S. customers are able to receive a free replacement seat post from Peloton.

People who may have experienced an incident with the Peloton bikes are encouraged to contact the company.

Peloton issued another recall in 2021 for some of its treadmills after one child died and dozens of others had injuries related to the equipment.
