Alveda King on reversal of Roe: Pro-life ‘work changes, but does not stop,’ community must step in 'to support people'

Pro-life supporters celebrate outside the US Supreme Court in Washington, DC, on June 24, 2022.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., discusses the reversal today of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court and her journey through the issue of abortion. The Founder of Speak for Life comments with the reversal of Roe, "we know that lives will be saved, I believe our work, our course changes, but it doesn't stop, we have to now work state by state to have people value the sanctity of all human life from the womb." Dr. King responds that she believes "the faith community is going to be very important now," "to be there to meet the needs of these families that feel that they don't have another choice." Commenting, "the community should be there to support people, so that these decisions will always be in favor of life."
