"If he does that, he could win the biggest election since Roosevelt in 1932," Gingrich said.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that former President Donald Trump could win over Biden voters in major cities by doing speeches there and giving a vision of how to make life better for the people living there.

"My hope, frankly, is that Trump will be in every major city, offering speeches about how to save the cities, and how to change policies," Gingrich said on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast. "If he does that, he could win the biggest election since Roosevelt in 1932."

Gingrich noted that many different Americans are suffering under President Joe Biden's economy and Trump's big focus should be getting the economy back on track.

"I think to a degree that Trump can actually go out to all the groups that are now available," he said. "You're seeing movement among Latinos, among African Americans, among Asian Americans. You're seeing younger people who, two years ago, were much further to the left. But now they're looking economically."

He said a lot of people under 30 have realized they can't purchase a house, making their future seem very limited.

According to a 2023 survey from Realtor.com, approximately 78% of people wanting to purchase a home expect to be priced out of the housing market if interest rates and home prices continue to rise.

"Biden has suffered greater loss[es] in the last three months among people under 30, than any other group because they're suddenly beginning to crystalize that this doesn't work," he said.
