'Great job, Joe!' Trump taunts Biden over confusing him with VP Harris
“I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president that I think she was not qualified to be president,” Biden said.
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday mocked President Joe Biden over a flub in which the incumbent commander-in-chief mistakenly referred to him as his vice president.
During a critical press conference, Biden fielded a question about Vice President Kamala Harris's ability to replace him on the Democratic ticket should he drop out of the race, though he mistakenly referred to Harris as Trump.
“I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president that I think she was not qualified to be president,” Biden said.
"Crooked Joe begins his 'Big Boy' Press Conference with, 'I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president.' Great job, Joe!" Trump posted on Truth Social, along with the video of Biden's flub.
The conference came as Biden faces scrutiny over his mental acuity and ability to serve in office. He has resisted calls to step aside as the Democratic nominee and insisted he would pursue reelection.
Immediately preceding the press conference, Biden made an unrelated flub in which he erroneously introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as "President Putin," though he immediately corrected himself.
