Border Patrol union endorses Trump for president
"Thank you to the 16,000 Border Patrol Officers for your COMPLETE ENDORSEMENT and SUPPORT!" Trump wrote on the social media platform, X.
Former President Donald Trump received the endorsement from the National Border Patrol Council on Sunday.
Trump announced at a rally in Prescott Valley, Arizona, that he got the endorsement. "It’s a great honor," Trump said. "They said it was unanimous. Thousands of people." Trump then invited union president Paul Perez on stage.
"If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell," Perez said, according to Fox News.
"The untold millions of people unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and every other crime will continue to put our country in peril," he continued.
"Only one man can fix that. That is Donald J. Trump," Perez added. "He has always stood with the men and women who protect this border, who put their lives on the line for the country."
Trump touted the endorsement on the social media platform, X.
"Thank you to the 16,000 Border Patrol Officers for your COMPLETE ENDORSEMENT and SUPPORT!" he wrote.
The National Border Patrol Council has also endorsed other GOP candidates such as Arizona congressional candidate Abe Hamadeh.
